U-Haul Company’s Healthier You Clinic is an onsite, independently run health center by Premise Health that is available to all full-time team members. It is also available to dependents on the U-Haul Company Medical Plan. The Healthier You Clinic offers the same services received from a current primary healthcare provider, as well as a full-scope physical therapy center and behavioral health counseling services.

Eligibility: All full-time team members and their dependents who are enrolled in the U-Haul Company Medical Plan (UCMP). Full-time team members who are not enrolled in the UCMP are also eligible, regardless of your insurance provider. Acute episodic care only for 2-12 year olds. Full primary care & acute episodic care for 13+ years old.

Note: For those not on the U-Haul Company Medical Plan, full time team members only, family not eligible.

Alexis Silence

Nurse Practitioner

Bio

Alexis Silence is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a drive for quality care and therapeutic patient-provider relationships. Her goal is to improve patients’ physical and mental health by focusing on preventative screenings, nutrition, sleep, social support, health education, work/life integration, and medications as needed. She started her career 11 years ago as a registered nurse at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. Alexis initially worked in a pulmonary unit caring for cystic fibrosis patients and then moved to a surgical ICU that specialized in liver transplants. Although she enjoyed the fast-paced hospital environment, she was drawn to primary care and preventative medicine. Alexis went back to school and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, graduating magna cum laude. Alexis has been working as a family nurse practitioner for five years. She enjoys caring for patients with a variety of chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. She values mutual decision making between the provider and the patient, and watching patients reach their goals. Alexis and her husband, Jeff, have one daughter, Lilliana. Alexis enjoys running, Peloton, and playing with her daughter on the weekends.

Katie Ellis

Physical Therapist

Bio

Katie Ellis is an APTA Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in Physical Therapy and a 3rd generation Phoenician. After completing her doctorate in physical therapy in 2020, she enrolled in an orthopedic physical therapy residency to further her knowledge and experience. She joined the Healthier You Clinic team as the physical therapist in July of 2023 after practicing in a high paced outpatient orthopedic clinic. Katie continues to be committed to lifelong learning through reading current literature and regularly attending continuing education courses. She believes that movement is medicine and age is just a number. Her evidence-based practice is guided by the best available research, clinical experience, and patient values. Katie enjoys working with patients to develop meaningful functional goals, as well as the plan to achieve these goals. In her free time, she enjoys endurance sports, including triathlons, mountain biking, and ultra running. For the past 3 years she has been completing passages of the Arizona Trail, a remote route from Mexico to the Utah border traversing some of the most beautiful regions of the states.

Sarah Anderson

Bio

Sarah is a licensed clinical social worker who has been providing therapy to adolescents, adults, veterans, couples, and families since she graduated from Western Michigan University with a Masters of Social Work in 2011. She worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including various types of trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, drug and alcohol struggles, relationship issues, life adjustment difficulties, low self-esteem and ADHD. Sarah believes that feeling safe, supported, and non-judged are essential in building a successful working relationship, and treating everyone with dignity, respect, and compassion. Sarah’s therapeutic style combines culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approaches using cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, emotional attachment therapy, solution focused therapy, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. When Sarah is not working, she enjoys spending time with her significant other and children, and loves being in the outdoors hiking, swimming, doing yoga, and is an avid reader and writer.

Tyler Arnett

Bio

Tyler grew up in the Northeast and graduated in 2010 from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After moving to Arizona, he worked in outpatient orthopedics for 13 years including 7 years at Premise Health. In 2023, he became the Health Center Manager at the U-Haul Healthier You Clinic. Tyler is married and has two daughters, Penny and Wynnie. In his free time Tyler enjoys cycling, hiking and playing with his dog, George.

Bio

Marissa Brewster is the medical assistant at U-Haul Company’s Healthier You Clinic. She graduated from AIBT Junior College, while making the dean’s list to become a medical assistant. While most of her career has been spent as a medical assistant, she also handled medical billing for a general surgeon for seven years. All told, she has been in the medical field for 20 years. Marissa loves her work and believes it is a blessing. She thrives on giving and prays that she is able to improve patients’ lives. Marissa believes that if she helps only one person through encouragement to get healthy and stay well, that will make her happy! Marissa is the mother of six lovely children. She thrives helping others with their health and approaches each day with open ears and an open heart. She serves as the secretary of a women’s ministry and vice president of the praise and worship team at her church.

Michelle is a medical assistant for the Healthier You Clinic. After working for 18 years in a machine shop, Michelle desired a more impactful career and decided to pursue a medical degree. In 2021, Michelle graduated from Brookline College with her MA. She began working at an ambulatory outpatient clinic for digestive health.  Michelle started her career with Premise in August of 2022. She is married and has a dog named Oreo. In her free time, Michelle practices Zumba and loves spending time with her family.
